Jamaica pull out of Caribbean Championships

Following the hosting of the just concluded Pan-Am Junior Badminton Championships in Kingston, the Jamaica Badminton Association says it is unable to finance a team to the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation, CAREBACO, Championships in Barbados.
President of the Jamaica Badminton Association, Vishu Tolan, said the local association is broke after it used $2 million from its coffer during the Pan Am Junior Championships
The CAREBACO Championships will take place at the Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium from August 28 to September 3.
