Golf: Jamaica lie fourth in Hoerman Cup

Jamaica’s Horeman Cup team is in fourth place going into today’s second day of the 2011 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
The tournament is being played at the Millenium Lakes Golf Course.
Matthew Smith shot two over par 73 to claim the best score for Jamaica in the Hoerman Cup competition.
Puerto Rico are leading the competition followed by hosts T&T and Barbados.
In the Ramon Baez competition, Jamaica’s two-man team of Sean Morris and Keith Stein occupied sixth position on even par 71. The Cayman Islands are in the lead.
The Jamaican senior team of Robert Chin and Greg Chong hold down sixth place with the Dominican Republic on four over par 75. The Barbadian team is currently leading with one under par 70.
The women’s team of Jodi Barrow, Leiza Blakeley and Michele Gabay struggled on the first day and occupied sixth position with the OECS.
T&T lead the women’s section.
