Golf: Hoerman Cup team slip to fifth place at CAGC Championships

Jamaica’s Hoerman Cup team has slipped to fifth place going into today’s third day of the 2011 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
The tournament is being played at the Millenium Lakes Golf Course.
Fabian Campbell shot 74 to take the low gross score on the Jamaican side. Jonathan Newnham was one stroke behind on 75 and Matthew Smith followed up with 77.
Puerto Rico continue to lead the Hoerman Cup field and have now opened up an eleven-stroke lead.
In the Ramon Baez competition, Jamaica’s two-man team of Sean Morris and Keith Stein slipped from sixth to seventh with a combined score of 71.
Dominican Republic have taken over the lead in that section.
The women’s team of Jodi Barrow, Leiza Blakeley and Michelle Gabay remain in sixth position. Puerto Rico have now surged ahead over first day leaders T&T.
