Cricket: Bangladesh stage fight back against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh are fighting back against hosts Zimbabwe in their one-off Test at Harare.



Zimbabwe had looked on course for a daunting first innings total after closing yesterday’s opening day on 264 for two, but Bangladesh sparked a collapsed that saw the hosts all out for 370.



Bangladesh were then reduced to 36 for two but fight back to close the second day on 107 for three – 263 adrift of Zimbabwe’s total.



Shahriar Nafees has so far top scored for Bangladesh with 50, while Mohammad Ashraful is undefeated on 34.



Brian Vitori took two of the three wickets to fall.



Earlier, Hamilton Masakadza who resumed on 88 went on to post his second Test century. He top scored with 104 and was well supported by Vusi Sibanda 78, Brendan Taylor 71 and Tino Mawoyo 43.



Rubel Hossain and Shakib Al Hasan were the most successful bowlers for Bangladesh with three wickets each.



Zimbabwe are playing in their first Test match since ending a self-imposed six-year exile from the longest format of the game.
