Cricket: Jamaica trying to rebound today

Jamaica will attempt to bounce back from yesterday’s opening round defeat when they face Grenada in the second round of the West Indies Cricket Board Women’s 50-over tournament in Barbados today.
The Group ‘A’ game will take place at the MTW.
Jamaica received an early setback on the opening day as they suffered a three-run defeat to defending champions Trinidad and Tobago at The Brewery.
West Indies players Shanel Daley 60 and Safanie Taylor 45 top scored for Jamaica.
In the other Group ‘A’ game today, T&T and Guyana will face off at Kensington Oval.
Guyana picked up a point in the first round after their game against Grenada ended in a no-result as a result of rain.
Over in Group ‘B’, St Lucia will face St Vincent and the Grenadines at Desmond Haynes Oval, while hosts Barbados and Dominica will clash at the Banks.
All matches are scheduled to start at 10 o’clock.
Eight teams divided in two zones are taking part in the one-week competition, which concludes on Sunday with the Grand Final at Kensington Oval.
