US: Stock markets rally

US stocks rallied Tuesday, bouncing back from the previous session's nosedive.
Investors await the Federal Reserve's latest statement on monetary policy.
The Dow Jones industrial average soared 217 points topping the 11,000 after a choppy start to the session.
The S&P 500 ticked up 28 points and the Nasdaq climbed 74 points.
All eyes will be on the Federal Reserve when it releases its monetary policy statement at 2:15 pm today.
