Cricket: Jamaica going for first win against Guyana

Jamaica suffered their third straight defeat in the WICB Under-19 Fifty-Over Competition by going down to hosts Guyana at Demerara Cricket Club today.
The Jamaicans, who won the three-day competition last week, are without a point in the shorter version of the game.
Guyana won the contest by two wickets with 15 overs to spare after they were set a victory target of 201.
They ended on 202 for eight with Joemal La Fleur leading the way with 67.
James McDonald and Markino Midley ended with two wickets each for Jamaica.
Earlier, Jamaica were restricted to 200 for nine with Roymon Powell topscoring with 66. Amir Khan led the bowling for Guyana with three for 25.
Meanwhile, Windward Islands defeated reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago by 56 runs at Bourda to move to 10 point 9 points.
And over at Everest, Barbados defeated Leeward Islands by five wickets.
The competition continues tomorrow.
