Cricket: West Indies drawn in Group B for Women’s World Cup qualifiers
West Indies have been drawn in Group ‘B’ of the International Cricket Council Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2011 to battle for four spots at the 2013 Cricket World Cup.
Ten teams will compete in the qualifiers scheduled to run from November 14 to 25 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The regional side has drawn alongside Pakistan, Ireland, Japan and hosts Bangladesh.
Group ‘A’ comprises South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Zimbabwe and the United States.
England, who won the last World Cup in Australia, secured automatic qualification for the 2013 event along with losing finalists New Zealand, and semi-finalists Australia and India.
West Indies will warm up for the qualification tournament when they face Pakistan in four One-Day Internationals and four Twenty20 Internationals starting at month end.
