One of Guyana\'s television stations (CNS) Channel 6 is now back on air, after its broadcast licence was suspended for four months.
The four-month ban was imposed after threats were made to President Bharrat Jagdeo\'s life on a call-in programme.
Owner of the station, Chandra Narine Sharma, said the programme will continue, but with some modifications.
There was widespread protest action and condemnation of President Jagdeo’s decision last April, to suspend the station\'s licence.
The Guyana Human Rights Association described the inclusion of the President in adjudicating the matter, as an abuse of power.
