Netball: Jamaica complete 4-0 sweep of England

Jamaica’s Development Netball Squad defeated England Under-19 squad 52-40 last night at GC Foster College in Spanish Town to complete a 4-nil sweep of their four-game practice series.
The young Sunshine Girls won the first quarter 17-7; the second quarter 31-14 and the third 39-24 on their way to victory.
Shantel Slater led Jamaica with a game-high 27 goals from 30 attempts, while Deneen Taylor supported with 21 from 31 and Shanice Lee had two from three.
For England, Rachel Shaw had 16 from 18, Alice Ewar 14 from 18, while Shaunagh Craig and Amanda Davies each ended with 5 from 8
The teams used the games to launch their preparations for the World Youth Netball Championships in Glasgow, Scotland in 2013.
England will travel home today.
