MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — Mexican President Felipe Calderon has visited the site where 52 people died after being trapped in a casino set on fire by presumed drug traffickers.

Calderon, first lady Margarita Zavala, and several members of his security Cabinet held a minute of silence outside the burned hulk of the Casino Royale in the northern city of Monterrey. All dressed in black, they placed a giant green wreath in the circular driveway leading up to the building.

Calderon, Public Safety Secretary Genaro Garcia Luna and Defense Secretary Guillermo Galvan Galvan then left without saying a word.
