West Indies Women beat Pakistan by 8 wickets

West Indies Women are now looking forward to the second One-Day International after taking a 1-0 lead against Pakistan Women following the opening game yesterday at Arnos Vale Multiplex in St Vincent.
West Indies Women, led by a record spell of bowling from Anisa Mohammed, won the game by eight wickets
Off-spin bowler Mohammed collected five wickets as Pakistan were dismissed for a modest 83 in 40.5 overs, after they were sent in to bat.
Mohammed’s five wickets only cost five runs from 10 overs, the best figures by a West Indian bowler in a Women’s One Day International.
Deandra Dottin hit 36 not out and Jamaican all-rounder Stafanie Taylor scored 24 not out to lead West Indies home with 183 balls remaining.
The second game will take place tomorrow, also at the same venue.
Game three on Thursday and Game four on Saturday will also be contested at Arnos Vale.
The two teams also played four 20/20 Internationals – the first two on September 6 and 7 at Progress Park in Grenada, and the last two on September 10 and 11 under the lights at the Guyana National Stadium.
