Tiger Woods to compete in Frys.com Open

Tiger Woods has confirmed he will play in the Frys.com Open at CordeValle Golf Club in California from October 6 to 9.
The former world number one, now ranked 38th, is keen to regain form after being selected as a wildcard for the USA Presidents Cup team in November.
The 35-year-old has played only eight US Tour events in 2011 due to injury.
US Presidents Cup captain Fred Couples recently warned Woods to sharpen his game by playing in more tournaments.
Couples last week assured the 14-time major champion that he would be one of his two picks for the event, well in advance of the official team announcement on September 26.
