Rusea’s crushes Knockalva High

Defending champions Rusea’s recorded their second straight victory by crushing Knockalva High 7-0 as the 2011 rural-area ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel daCosta Cup competition continued yesterday.
Rusea’s have now scored 17 goals in two matches following their 10-0 victory over Green Island in their opening Zone ‘B’ game on Saturday.
Frome also ticked off their second victory by whipping Anchovy 5-1, while Green Island beat Maldon 2-0.
Over in Zone ‘A’, Spot Valley edged William 2-1, St James outscored Green Pond 3-2 and Cornwall College beat Muschett 1-0.
Over in Zone ‘F’, St Elizabeth Technical High School blanked Balaclava 5-0.
In other games, Manchester beat Holmwood 5-0, Port Antonio defeated Happy Grove 5-0, Buff Bay turned back Fair Prospect 4-0, while Seafort and Paul Bogle battled to a goalless draw.
The competition continues this afternoon at 3.30 with six games from two zones.
There were no games in the urban area Manning Cup competition. That competition continues tomorrow with a full slate of matches.
