EPA concerns
The St. Lucian Prime Minister, Stephenson King said his country wants its concerns regarding the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) addressed.
Mr. King had indicated recently that his government was ready to sign the EPA along with other Caricom member states on September 2.
He was criticised by NGOs in Castries and the opposition Labour Party, which called for the pact to be discussed in parliament.
Guyana has said it would not sign the EPA until after it has held a national consultation.
The new Grenada government said last week it wants to review the agreement before committing fully to it.
Prime Minister King said other countries in the region too, including St. Lucia, have reservations, which they want addressed.
He said Caricom should have some kind of review of the agreement.
