Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad Bissessar says the government will be reviewing the state of emergency that has been in place in the country since August 21.
She said she will be meeting with the National Security Minister today to review the restrictions.
However, Persad-Bissessar said any decision on whether to lift the state of emergency, which also includes a five hour curfew, will depend on the advice of law enforcement.
She said while the matter will be discussed at the Council meeting it is not up to her only to give approval.
