West Indies facing defeat

The West Indies will be fighting to save the opening Test against hosts India in Delhi when play resumes tonight at 10.30 Jamaica time.
A familiar batting collapse on today’s third day has given India total control.
Resuming from their overnight 21 for two, West Indies were bowled out for 180 in their second innings to set India a victory target of 276.
At stumps, India have cruised to 152 for two, needing a further 124 runs to win with eight wickets in hand.
Captain Darren Sammy and Jamaican all-rounder Marlon Samuels have taken the wickets to fall.
Samuels dismissed opener Gautam Gambhir, leg before wicket for 22 with the score on 51.
Sammy bowled Virender Sehwag for 55 with the score on 95.
The batsmen at the crease are Sachin Tendulkar on 33 and Rahul Dravid on 30.
Earlier, West Indies lost their remaining eight wickets for just 157 runs after resuming with a slight advantage. The Caribbean side had gained a useful first innings lead of 95.
First innings centurion Shivnarine Chanderpaul top scored for the West Indies with 47.
Sammy 42 and Kirk Edwards 33 were the only other batsmen to offer any resistance. Ravi Rampaul chipped in with 18 and Darren Bravo 12.
Debutant Ravichandran Ashwin was the most successful bowler for India with six for 47.
