Darren Bravo puts West Indies on top

Darren Bravo hammered a big hundred as the West Indies continue to dominate hosts India in the third and final Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Bravo, who was 57 overnight, scored 166 as the West Indies reached 579-9 at stumps on today’s second day. The West Indies had resumed the day on 267-2.
The 22-year-old Bravo has now scored three hundreds in his last four Tests.
Earlier, Bravo and Kirk Edwards carried their third-wicket partnership to 164 runs before Ishant Sharma claimed the first breakthrough of the day.
Edwards, who himself looked set for a third century in just his sixth Test, got a faint edge that wicketkeeper MS Dhoni easily held. He made 86 after resuming on 65.
Two other batsmen scored half centuries to ensure each of the West Indies top six reached that milestone in the innings.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul's replacement Kieran Powell scored 81, while Jamaican Marlon Samuels hit 61.
The batsmen at the crease are Fidel Edwards on seven and Devendra Bishoo on two.
Ravichandran Ashwin ended the day with 4-149 and Varun Aaron 3-106.
The West Indies are looking to avoid a series whitewash. They are trailing 2-0 in the three-match series.
