West Indies, India heading for draw

The third and final Test between West Indies and hosts India in Mumbai is heading for a tame draw following today’s fourth day.



West Indies, leading by 108 runs on first innings, reached 81 for two at stumps.



It means the West Indies are leading by 189 runs with eight wickets going into the final day.



The batsmen at the crease are teenager Kraigg Braithwaite on 34 and Darren Bravo on 27.



Opener Adrian Barath, two, and Kirk Edwards, 17, are back in the pavilion. They were both dismissed by Pragyan Ojha.



Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar fell just six runs short of his 100th international century as India were bowled out for 482 after resuming the day on 281 for three.



Tendulkar, who resumed the day on 67 in search of his landmark innings, was dismissed by pacer Ravi Rampaul for 94 to the dismay of a packed crowd in his native Mumbai.



The 38-year-old Tendulkar edged Rampaul to skipper Darren Sammy at second slip to leave India on 322 for five.



Rampaul ended with three for 95. He also got the wicket of number eight batsman Ravichandran Ashwin who top scored with 108, his maiden Test hundred.



Jamaican all-rounder Marlon Samuels also picked up three wickets. He finished with three for 74, while Sammy ended with two for 90.



Fidel Edwards and Devendra Bishoo picked up a wicket apiece.



The West Indies are looking to avoid a series whitewash. India have already won the three-Test series 2-0.
