St. George's defeats KC to take schoolboy double

Manning Cup champions St George’s College secured the Urban Area double today by defeating neighbours Kingston College 2-1 in the final of the ISSA /Gatorade/Digicel/Walker Cup Knockout competition.
The game was played at the Constant Spring Complex.
Mark Brown handed St George’s College the lead on the stroke of half time, but Richard Wilson equalised for Kingston College three minutes after the resumption.
Substitute Davion Kelly scored the winner for St George’s College in the 68th minute.
The victory came four days after St Georges College defeated Charlie Smith 3-1 to win the Manning Cup title.
St. George’s College will now turn their attentions to the all-island Olivier Shield title.
They will play either St Elizabeth Technical or Rusea’s High.
