Jacobs, Campbell highlight third trial match

Melbourne batting all-rounder Damion Jacobs and St Ann opener John Campbell highlighted Jamaica’s third practice match yesterday as the players continue preparation for the upcoming Caribbean Twenty20 tournament.
The practice match was played at Kensington Park.
Jacobs hit a quick-fire 44 off 30 balls and claimed 4 for 8 off three overs, while Campbell scored 56 off 36 balls.
The pair led David Bernard’s Eleven to a 35-run win over Tamar Lambert’s Eleven.
The right-handed Jacobs hit two sixes and two fours, while the left-handed 18-year-old Campbell slammed four sixes and two fours.
Also getting among the runs for Bernard’s Eleven was St Elizabeth opener Brenton Parchment who scored 24 off 22 balls.
Xavier Marshall with 43 off 47 balls scored most runs for Lambert’s Eleven.
Batting all-rounder Nkrumah Bonner supported with 23 off 24 balls and Kingston wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton scored an unbeaten 22 off just 12-balls.
The 2012 Caribbean Twenty20 tournament will be played in Trinidad and Barbados from January 9 to 22.
