Jamaica defeat Guyana

Jamaica defeated Guyana to close in on the West Indies Women’s Championship title while there were wins for defending champions Trinidad and Tobago, and Grenada as the tournament continued yesterday in St Lucia.
Jamaica proved to be unbeatable with an 89-run win over contenders Guyana at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, while T&T beat Barbados by four wickets at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
At Dennery, Grenada easily beat Dominica by nine wickets, while at Monchy Playing Field, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines played to a tie.
The win for Jamaica pushed them to 14 points from six matches and Guyana remained on nine points from five matches.
T&T moved to 10 points, while Barbados stayed on nine.
