Carifesta opens

The tenth Caribbean festival of Arts, Carifesta, opens today in Guyana.
The festival will run until August 31, under the theme \'One Caribbean; One Purpose… Our Culture, Our Life\'.
Over 100 events will be staged, including music, dance and drama.
The Artistic Director of the Cayman Islands National Cultural Foundation, Henry Mootoo, is one of the participants.
Henry has reportedly raised concern about the declining interest in the region, in serious thought provoking theatre.
