The first set of local-based members of Jamaica’s successful Olympic squad is scheduled to return to the island this evening at 7.30.

Bobby Gaye Wilkins, who ran on the women’s 4 x 400-metre team in the heats, long jumper Herbert McGregor and javelin thrower Olivia McKoy are the athletes confirmed to arrive at the Norman Manley International Airport today.

Most of the management team is also slated to arrive.

The bulk of Jamaica’s team, including triple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt, 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser, Sherone Simpson, Asafa Powell, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter, are scheduled to travel to Europe for post-Olympic meets.
