Bolt heads to Europe
Olympics sprint double champion and double World record-holder Usain Bolt will be landing in Zurich, Switzerland later this week for the resumption of the Golden League meet on Friday.
Over a span of four days, the 22 year old Jamaican electrified Beijing and the world with two World records to become the first man to set World records in both events in a single Olympic Games.
He won the 100 metres in 9.69 and the 200 metres in 19.30.
In Zurich, Bolt will contest the 100 metres where he will face Richard Thompson of Trinidad, the silver medallist in the 100 and Walter Dix, the most successful American sprinter in the Chinese capital, who dashed to double bronze.
Other Jamaicans heading off the Europe are 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser, Sherone Simpson, Asafa Powell, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter.
