Belizean elections set for March 7

Belizeans are to go to the polls on March 7 to elect a new government.
In making the announcement Prime Minister Dean Barrow said the National Assembly will be dissolved on Friday and Nomination Day will be on February 17.
The Belize Election comes is constitutionally due by February next year.
In the February 2008, general elections, Barrow’s United Democratic Party won 25 of the 31 seats with the remaining six going to the People’s United Party.
