Overseas Reggae Boyz to arrive today

Nine of 11 overseas-based Jamaican international footballers are due to arrive at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston later this afternoon to continue preparations for crucial World Cup qualifying assignments on September 6 and 10.



Defenders Shavar Thomas, Tyrone Marshall and Ian Goodison are scheduled to arrive at 1.10 p.m.



Captain Ricardo Gardner, Ricardo Fuller and Deon Burton will also touch down in Kingston at 1.10 p.m.



Three other England-based players, Rudolph Austin, Luton Shelton and Demar Phillips are due to arrive from London, Gatwick at 3.35p.m.



The other two players, Andy Williams and Wolry Wolfe will arrive on Wednesday.



The overseas-based players will join 11 local-based players for a training session at the National Stadium beginning this evening at 7 p.m.



Jamaica will face regional powerhouse Mexico at 1 p.m. at the National Stadium on Saturday, September 6. The Reggae Boyz will then travel to San Pedro Sula to take on host Honduras on Wednesday, September 10.



Jamaica have so far earned a point from their away draw to Canada in the four-team Group ‘B’ playoff.



Mexico lead the group with maximum three points following a 2-1 victory over Honduras.
