Government sources in Haiti are reporting that the prime minister Garry Conille has offered to resign.
Officials say he made the offer in a letter to President Michel Martelly.
He was the president's third nomination when appointed in October, ending a long political stalemate.
The two previous candidates failed to win enough support from parliament.
The government is still rebuilding after the January 2010 earthquake which devastated the capital, Port-au-Prince.
