Mitchell/DPP fall out
A major fall-out has reportedly occurred between Grenada\'s former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell and the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Christopher Nelson.
Dr. Mitchell is calling for the resignation of the DPP and is threatening to write to the Chief Justice and head of the Legal Service Commission on the matter.
Dr. Mitchell has also condemned statements made by Mr. Nelson on Monday, in relation to the detention and subsequent release of the former legal advisor to the Keith Mitchell government, Hugh Wildman.
Wildman was detained for questioning in an investigation into the collapse of an offshore bank.
The opposition leader said the statements made by the DPP were unacceptable of someone in his position.
During a press conference on Monday, the DPP dispelled accusations made by attorney Dwight Horsford that the detention of Mr. Wildman was politically motivated.
