McCain accepts nomination

John McCain last night accepted the Republican Party’s nomination for him to run for president of the United States.



To resounding applause Senator McCain said he accepted the nomination with gratitude, humility and confidence.



Mr. McCain pledged to earn the nation’s trust.



He also told supporters that his running mate Sarah Palin, was the right person to help him bring change to Washington.



Senator McCain told supporters that he respects his democratic rival Barak Obama and would seek a bipartisan approach on politics.



He pledged to fight corruption and work for the good of the American people, rather than special interests or himself.
