Antigua and Barbuda authorities are trying to determine the identity of eight people found dead aboard a stranded boat on the country\'s south-east coast.
The unidentified 30-foot trawler was initially believed to be on a drug smuggling run when the coast guard were alerted on Tuesday night.
However, after boarding the vessel seven miles off the Antiguan shore yesterday, they discovered the unexpected cargo of eight badly decomposing bodies.
Authorities said they believe the boat was coming from Africa because they found a passport case with the Republic of Mali written in French.
However, no definite determination has been made.
