Opening arguments are under way in the trial of Jerry Sandusky, a US college football coach accused of abusing 10 boys at Penn State University.
The 68-year-old denies 52 criminal counts of abuse over 15 years.
Several alleged victims are due to testify during the trial.
Sandusky’s November arrest prompted a crisis at the university, which has a celebrated college football tradition.
The team’s veteran head coach, Joe Paterno, was fired from his position after accusations of a cover-up began to emerge.
University President Graham Spanier was also sacked amid the unfolding scandal.
