Jamaica and West Indies batsman Xavier Marshall and Tonito Willett from the Leeward Islands have tested positive for drugs.

The players tested positive during a two-week camp in Antigua in August.

Marshall and Willett were among the 32 players named in a provisional Stanford Superstars squad to face England in the Stanford 20/20 for 20, a winner-take-all US$20 million match on November 1.

Donald Peters, the chief executive of the West Indies Cricket Board confirmed the news yesterday. He said action would be taken after advice from the attorneys.

Peters said the WICB would take action on Marshall, as he is a centrally contracted player.

However, he said the WICB will let the Leeward Islands handle the case with Willett.

Marshall was withdrawn from the Stanford squad on Tuesday for undisclosed reasons.
