Hunt for daCosta cup top honours continues

The hunt for top honours in Zone ‘A’ of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Pepsi/Digicel rural area daCosta Cup football competition will heat up this afternoon with the main contenders in action.



Group leaders St James High will face struggling newcomers Green Pond; former champions Cornwall College will take on Spot Valley and Irwin High will entertain Herbert Morrison.



A rescheduled Zone ‘G’ fixture between Edwin Allen High and Knox College will complete the day’s round of matches.



Meanwhile, in the corporate area Manning Cup competition, undefeated teams St George’s College and Excelsior High will do battle at Winchester Park in a top-of-the-table Group ‘E’ game.



In the group’s other games, Dunoon Technical will hope to keep pace with the leaders when they take on Camperdown at Vauxhall High School and Greater Portmore will host Ardenne at the Greater Portmore Sports Complex.



The day will feature five other games.



All matches are scheduled to kick off at 3:30.
