Isaac death toll climbs to 19 in Haiti

The death toll from Haiti’s encounter with Tropical Storm Isaac over the weekend has climbed to 19.



Reports over the weekend had put that figure at four.



But it was revised this afternoon to 19.



Disaster officials have also confirmed that five people were also killed in the Dominican Republic.



In the meantime, Haiti’s Civil Protection Office, says the number of deaths could increase as reports from around the country are finalized.



It says six people are reported missing and 22 injured.
