Grenada Gov't denies intimidating media workers

The Grenada government has denied claims that it’s intimidating media workers.
The practitioners have said they are alarmed at the growing intolerance of the present administration to contrary opinions and views in the media.
However, Glen Noel, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office insists that the government has maintained an unwavering obligation to media freedom and an atmosphere in which people can freely express their views, whether it favours government or not.
He said Prime Minister Tillman Thomas, who is also the Minister for Information has consistently assured the press his government recognises the basic tenets of professionalism, responsible and ethical behaviour.
