Reggae Boyz lowest ever FIFA ranking
Days ahead of their crucial CONCACAF World Cup qualifying match against Mexico, Jamaica have slipped to their lowest ever FIFA rankings following defeats against Mexico and Honduras.
The Reggae Boyz slipped 11 places to 116 and are now fifth in the Caribbean.
Trinidad and Tobago who slipped 8 places to 88 remain the top Caribbean nation ahead of Cuba, Haiti, Suriname and Barbados who move up 20 places to 114.
Mexico, Jamaica’s opponent for Saturday, are the second ranked CONCACAF team behind USA.
Meanwhile, ace striker Marlon King will miss Saturday’s game because of injury.
Reports are that he has been troubled by a back injury, but he was able to play for 81 minutes in a Premiership game on Sunday against Tottenham, which Hull City won 1-0.
Reports are that he did not train for most of the week leading into the game.
