Man charged for killing family

A man from Belize has been charged for murdering three members of his family.



Reports say 26-year-old Jared Ranguy shot and killed his mother, Karen Skeen, his sister Teena and his 72-year-old step father, Robert Vellos Senior over the weekend.



Media reports described the weekend murders as an extreme act of parricide, adding the three were heinously executed inside their home.



The police say they have also recovered a number of items in the attic of the house, including a leather bag containing the firearm presumably used in the killings.



Police say Robert and Teena were shot in the head.



Karen’s throat was cut and she was also shot in the head.
