CONCACAF Advisory

The police are advising patrons attending the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying football match between Jamaica and Mexico at the National Stadium on Saturday that no firearms, knives, large igloos, glass bottles, frozen water or drinks and umbrellas with pointed tips will be allowed inside the venue.



Licensed firearm holders are being advised to leave their weapons with their local police or make alternative arrangements for their safekeeping.



All persons entering the stadium will be subjected to search.



There will also be several traffic changes to facilitate the match.



Arthur Wint Drive will be operated as one way West to East from the Bustamante Children’s Hospital to Roosevelt Avenue. No right turn will be allowed from North and Central Avenues onto Arthur Wint Drive.



Roosevelt Avenue will also be operated as a one way; South to North from Arthur Wint Drive to Stanton Terrace.
