Omar’s aftermath

Several islands in the eastern and northern Caribbean are now assessing the damage caused by Hurrricane Omar.



Over the last week, Omar reportedly dumped more than six inches of torrential rains on the islands.



The storm is also said to have caused millions of dollars in damage across the region.



Omar, which has weakened, is now heading out into the Atlantic Ocean with maximum winds of near 60 miles per hour.
