The recent rape and robbery of two females in Trinidad and Tobago has prompted the United Kingdom’s foreign office to issue a travel advisory.

The foreign office has advised travellers to other countries to be cautious and to only stay in hotels with tight security measures.

The incident, which happened earlier this week, comes less than two weeks after a Swedish couple was killed during a robbery.

No charges have been made in that case.

The British High Commission spokesman in Trinidad, James Dolan, said officials are cooperating with the police.

However, he has refused to produce details of the attack.
