Vipers defeat Flames

Hopewell Vipers defeated Central Flames 67 to 63 last night to win the Western Basketball Association/Fruta Men’s D-League.
The game was played at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.
Demar McGregor led the way for Hopewell Vipers with a game high 27 points and 13 rebounds. He was voted MVP for the final.
Kirk Blake 12 points and seven rebounds and Gavin Forbes with 12 points and 9 rebounds supported him.
Craig Dorman got 24 points and five rebounds for Central Flames, while Julian Walker chipped in with 19 points and Kurt Dorman 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Hopewell Vipers and Central Flames have now earned promotion to the Championship next years.
MoBay Boys Club Warriors defeated UCC Blazers 68 to 55 in the third place play-off.
