T&T Stanford Cup Champions
Trinidad and Tobago yesterday completed a five-wicket victory over Middlesex in their Champions Cup match of the Stanford Super Series at the Stanford Cricket Ground in Antigua.
T&T, the reigning Stanford 20/20 Cup champions, and Middlesex, the 20/20 Cup winner from England, were vying for a total purse of US$400,000 and the Champions Cup.
As a result, T&T collect US$280,000 for winning the match, while Middlesex take US$100,000.
Man of the Match Ravi Rampaul bagged four wickets as T&T restricted Middlesex to just 117 for eight off their 20 overs.
Spinner Sherwin Ganga supported with two for 20 and seamer Navin Stewart two for 26.
Neil Dexter top scored for Middlesex with 39, Eoin Morgan scored 30 and England batsman Andrew Strauss 20.
T&T replied with 122 for five off 19 point 2 overs with Denesh Ramdin getting 41, Darren Bravo 30 not out and Daren Ganga 20.
Bowling for Middlesex, Dawid Malan took two for 11 and Tim Murtagh two for 18.
