One of Trinidad and Tobago’s sextuplets has died 19 days after he and his two brothers and three sisters became the first recorded case of sextuplets in the Caribbean.
Relatives said that Kaylan Nasir Lee Foon-Cummings had been critically ill ever since he and his other siblings were delivered by caesarean section at the Mount Hope Women's Hospital on March 4.
Kaylan died on Saturday but the other babies are reported to be doing well at the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Media reports today said that the baby died of upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
