Small farmers in Haiti are shortly to receive more help from the United Nations in a bid to boost agricultural production in that country.
The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) said $10.2 million would be split among some 240,000 Haitian farmers.
The farmers are to be given seeds and plants over the next 15 months under a deal with the Haitian government.
The project will be funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development, which works to assist small farmers.
At least 60 percent of Haiti\'s harvest was wiped out by a series of storms in recent weeks.
