UTECH launch golf tournament

The University of Technology (UTECH) launched a Golf Tournament, the first in a series of Sports Classics, to raise $65 million to upgrade its sporting facilities.
The first Golf Classic will tee off 12.30 p.m. on Friday at the Caymanas Golf and Country Club.
The tournament will take the format of an 18-hole shotgun start.
There will also be a 20/20 Cricket Classic, which will be staged between January 16, and 17, prior to the Track and Field Classic on April 18.
Walker Cup semifinals kick off
The finalists of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Pepsi/ Digicel corporate area Walker Cup knockout competition will be decided this afternoon following a double-header at Constant Spring field.
