Stanford Superstars captain Chris Gayle is nursing an injury thumb only days before his side do battle with England in the Stanford 20/20 match for US$20 million.
As a result of the injury, Gayle is doubtful for this evening match against English 20/20 champion Middlesex, their final practice match before the Stanford Super Series finale.
If Gayle misses the match against Middlesex he would be without any match practice going into Saturday’s Stanford Super Series finale.
Gayle damaged his left thumb during a net session on Tuesday. However, he said he should be able to play on Saturday.
