No medal for Jamaica

Jamaica ended their campaign at the World Junior Badminton Championships in Pune, India this morning without a medal.



The country’s last medal hope was the in the doubles. But, the team of Gareth Henry and Chadwick Parsons were outclassed going down 21-7, 21-8 to the pair of Po Yi Huang and Hsin Hao Lu of Chinese Taipei.



Earlier this week, Henry and Parson failed to qualify for the medal round in the individual events.



Henry lost in the second round after defeating Adb El Rahman of Egypt 21-19, 21-4 in the first round.



Parson failed to get out of the first round after losing to Mohamadreza Khanjani of Iraq.



The players will depart from India on Monday.
