Economist on global recession

A UK-based economist has suggested that Caribbean countries put in place measures to address the global recession.
Barbadian-born Professor Avinash Persaud is in Bridgetown advising the government on the current financial crisis.
He says the Caribbean has been, fairly immune from the first part of the crisis.
According to Professor Persaud, the market crisis has given birth to a global economic recession that can deal a serious blow to the Caribbean.
