Trains collide in Connecticut, more than 60 injured
More than 60 people were injured, at least two of them critically, after a head-on collision between two commuter trains in Connecticut, in the United States yesterday.
The crash occurred during the rush hour period as one of the trains was transporting hundreds of passengers from New York City.
It’s reported that the train derailed and was hit by another train.
Connecticut Governor, Dannel Malloy, says five people were seriously injured, one of whom is in a very critical condition.
Malloy says the front of one of the trains was extensively damaged and had its wheels stuck in the other train.
